Fremde Gestalten denotes an ambivalent meaning referring both to a foreign or strange form or character.

The project

Fremde Gestalten documents the journey and experiences of the many foreign designers working in Berlin.

The initiators

  • Dokho Shin

    is a freelance designer based in Seoul and he had practical experience in the various fields in South Korea. www.shindokho.kr

  • Aram Lee

    worked as a journalist in design and architectural media in Seoul and currently studying Urban Management in Berlin.

  • Bernd Grether

    is a graphic designer. He teaches at the University of the Arts, Berlin. www.berndgrether.de

  • JungFeldt

    is a young design studio for visual communications. It was founded 2015 in Berlin by Young Sam Kim from South Korea and Emil Sommerfeldt from Norway, and was joined by Nina Monnet in 2016. www.jungfeldt.de
